I've connected up to my Mondeo with my new V3 adapter and latest SW (1.26.008) and run the update wizard.

It's come back with the following modules for update:
BCM software all downloads fine
HCM - Secondary bootloader OK, Mfr ECU sw and ECU SW #2 pt1 + "Download Error"
PCM - shows update available but nothing shown in the download screen?
ACM - Secondary Bootloader and Vehicle Mfr ECU Sw = "Download Error"
RFA - Update available but warning about doing the update might kill module!

How much risk is there updating the BCM of damaging the module?
Why do i get Download Error with some modules - is there somewhere else i can download software manually?
Why does PCM have no download available even though update is available? If I find PCM update, how do i update it? Will updating PCM erase the PATS coding?

Sorry for all questions - I want to make sure I don't break a daily driver!

Not all modules are updatable via obd or not even possible.
When updating allways make sure that your battery is fully charged (both car and laptop)
There is always a risk when updating modules even when the dealer is updating!

the file is not on ford server ... it means bad decoding of ford db in UCDS

Am I meant to be able to update the PCM through the Update Wizard or do i need to go elsewhere? I tried to download files from the Motorcraft servers and they are there but i need secondary bootloader and not 100% certain how many files i need.... Can Anyone Help?

I just tried the update wizard on 2013 Fiesta and every module requires an update - but only 2 modules can find the files

Is there any way to correct the problem with the database files so i can download and update? Or if it is because the Ford servers do not have the latest software available, is there not a way to make it download the last available version instead?

I updated the BCM module in mondeo last night a nd wit worked fine. but none of the other modules have downloads available - even earlier versions report "download Error".

Is there any way i can find out what the problem is with UCDS and IDS db? I have tried to download the files manually but they cannot be found on the Ford servers, so something is not right!

I want to update PCM as i am running an old version and newer version is meant to cure sluggish acceleration.

just a further update - now i've been sent a test version of UCDS which fixes the PCM issue - I've now flashed that successfully too
